Update
As probably noticed... there hasnt been alot of new posts on our site or blog recently. This is due to the crazy last month or so...but now things are somewhat back to normal and i will try to keep up on the web now. As an update... Melina and I are doing good. I took a new job and love it. One of my friends from a long time ago owns his own "franchise" Sprint stores and he opened a new one in Federal Way. He asked me to come on board and manage it. Its alot more rewarding enviornment and great to work for people who honestly care and respect what you do. Melina is still at JayRay and she loves it more than ever. She's been getting more and more responsibliity and has her own clients. She is leaving Friday to Spokane for a few days to conduct a meeting with one of her credit union clients.
Braeden is doing well. He is wrapping up the school year and is growing up fast. Sometimes i forget that im talking to a 4 year old. He is reading and writing and is so well mannered.
We are back in an apartment and that is actually going good. Its a nice set up and other than having to take the dogs out on a leash... i actually like it better than our last house.
Melina's Birthday was Friday and on Saturday we had a party at Emerald Downs. There was 17 of us and we all had a great time. I was down about 50 bucks but on the 9th race i went on a long shot that ended up being a 195 dollar winner. Not bad for a $10 bet! Alot of us actually walked out with more money than we walked in with and that is always a good thing.
Finally, I won a trip to Vegas from the radio and Melina and I will be heading to Sin City for a couple days next month. Free trips are always good... and we love Vegas. Oh and... in September Melina's dad is getting married in Hawaii... so we get to spend a week there too! :)
Stay tuned for pics of Melina's birthday and other new stuff going on!

The Dust Is Starting to Settle...
It has been close to a month now since i have updated our full site or made a post on here. As most of you know this is due to the fact Melina and I were in the process of purchasing a new house. However... what most of you dont know is at the last minute we decided to opt out. We experienced so many issues with our purchase... from the roof having to be replaced... to a seller who didnt care much about helping at the beginning... and then was a complete jerk at the end... and on and on and on. With so many things going bad, we thought that maybe it was a sign that we shouldnt move forward with it. Just because its such a great time to buy right now... doesnt mean its the "right time" for us to buy. With our original closing date March 25th, we had told our lanlord we would be all moved out on the 31st. The closing date kept getting pushed back and we ended up "homeless" at the end of the month. We moved ALL of our stuff into a friends garage and were staying at another friends house. Once we decided to not complete the purchase of the house... I found an apartment and we moved in last thursday. So after 2 weeks... we now have an actual address! :-) We have a 3 bedroom apartment that is not to far from where we lived before. Its a nice apartment and this will give us a chance to save some money and pay off some other things and try the whole "house buying" thing in a few years.
On the subject of new news... I left Sprint this last week as well. One of my friends owns his own Sprint stores (they look just like a regular corporate store, but they are ran and operated by him) He is going to be opening a new store in the next few weeks and i will be running that store. Its a real exciting opportunity to work with the same 'product' that i have... but in an enviornment that is alot more comfortable and allows for more productivity.
So... as you can see, there is a good reason as to my lack of posts/updates but I will be back to my normal self soon. We are still trying to unpack and set up our new place... and i have a ton of new systems to learn for work... but hopefully I/we will be back to normal soon!

One of the Greatest plays Ive ever seen!!!
Because the NFL is REDICULOUSLY greedy...they forced all videos of the play on You Tube to be removed. Unbelievable!!! Now...to see the amazing play you have to watch it on their website. Here is the link.

Disneyland
As posted earlier...we decided 2 weeks ago to take a trip to Disneyland for the weekend. We left on Friday...went to Disneyland on Saturday...hit Knotts Berry Farm on Sunday till 4...then caught our flight at 7. Even tho it was only for 2 days it was a great time. I even got to wear shorts as it was over 70 degrees and not a cloud in the sky!
Check out our Events page on our main site for all of the Details and pictures from our weekend in California.

Its Over... :-(
Ok, so I have had about 24 hours to minimize the pain and heartbreak of yesterdays game. Not only the outcome of the game...but the fact that our season is now officially over. After looking forward to Sunday for 4 months straight...its hard to have it come to an end no matter what the outcome. But after the depression subsides... I can look at the whole picture and see just how good of a season it was. Even though we didnt complete our run to Arizona (thats where the Superbowl is this year) we still made the playoffs and went to the second round. That means there were 26 other teams (and cities of fans) that were sitting at home yesterday watching the games. We were one of 8 teams left. Thats an accomplishment in itself. On top of that...we won our 4th divisional title in a row!!! That is awesome. Granted our division isnt in the strongest...but this is the NFL and 4 years in a row we have beat our division and played many other teams out of our division as well. And...the last 3 years...we have won 4 playoff games! Alot of teams havent been to the playoffs at all in a long time.
On top of that...Matt had one of his best years in his career. When our running game suffered...and Holmgren went to the pass first (if not always) attack...he basically put the whole responsibility on Matt...and he responded well. For those of you that dont fully look into the small things in the game...Matt basically calls all the plays. Holmgren sends in the plays...but Matt is given the authority (and responsibility) to change the call to whatever he sees fit by looking at the defense. And Matt only had all 4 of his receivers playing in the same game for 4 total games this year. DJ Hackett was injured in the first game and Deion Branch was out due to injuries for almost half the year. Nate Burellson played every game as well as did Bobby Engram. Bobby had the best season of his long career and actually set a Seahawks record for most receptions in a season. He won the "Steve Largent" award (which is given out for productivity on the field as well as actions off the field). Shaun didnt run well but that wasnt all h is fault. He was basically injured all year and most of the time...our offensive line didnt give him much room. On our Superbowl run in 2005 we had a left guard named Steve Hutchenson. He was offered the biggest contract ever for a left guard by Minnesota and this year Minnesota led the whole NFL in rushing. This is not a coincidence. The loss of Hutch has seriously effected our running game. If you remember...we didnt run the ball all that well last year. And Mack Strong...our Fullback of 14 years has blocked for Shaun for Shauns whole career and early in the season...Mack retired after a severe hit. That was probably the only sad thing about this year....the loss of Mack is huge. He was and is Mr. Seahawk.
So as this season closes...i am excited for next year...and happy with this season we had. Not to long ago the Hawks were the laughing stock of the NFL and now they are a model for what organizations strive to be. Mike Holmgren might not be back next year...but he is instilled a winning culture and we will continue to be a great team.
and yes...i change the blog and no longer have any seahawks logos...but thats not because i dont believe in them...but the season is over and time to focus on basketball :-)

Help Me Out...vote for Brandon
As some or most of you know I am a Portland Trailblazers fan. Ive always liked the Trailblazers but the last 10 years or so it was hard to root for them because of all the "thug" players they had. They were nicknamed the "Jailblazers" because they were always getting in trouble for something. But that changed a few years ago when they finally cleaned house and decided to start all over. And the main piece of that was when they drafted Brandon Roy last year in the first round. Brandon is a great player and grew up in Seattle. He was a star at UW and led them to a top 10 in the nation and a deep run in the NCAA tournament. In his first year he won the rookie of they year and this year he picked up where he left off. The Blazers started slow and were 5-12 but have now won 15 or their last 16 games including a 13 in a row streak! And while its been a team effort for sure...Brandon has definitely been the go to guy and the leader of this young team. (the 4th youngest team ever).
And in this amazing season the Blazers are having...and Brandon having an MVP type season...he is not even in the top 10 in all star voting for this years All Star Game. All of the analysts know this is a joke...that he should be there...but the starters are all voted in by the fans. The lack of votes is no doubt because of the small northwest market he plays in. Who outside of Washington and Oregon can really even tell you where Portland is. So I ask you to help me vote for Brandon. While our votes arent gonna change the whole situation...every vote helps. So log on...vote for him...and tell everyone you know to do the same. He deserves it, his team deserves him to be there...and the city of Portland deserves to have him represent them in the All Star game. (and for those of you are die hard Seattleites and have a hard time rooting for anything in Oregon...just remember...he grew up in Seattle and was a star at UW) :-)
Heres the link...you can vote once per day for the next 16 days.

You know your Hawks
Congrats to all of those who voted on the early season poll on "how many games the Hawks would win." The majority of votes were for 10-11. There were 7 votes for 10-11 and the Hawks ended up winning 10 games. (they won their division for the 4th straight year) For those of you who were incorrect...better luck next year :)

Amazing skills
Anyway, I am proud of my accomplishment and I will keep you all posted on my progress. I had to stop after the first 11 songs because my arms felt like they were going to fall off. Depressing, but true. Good forearm and finger workout I guess. :)
